Best Dates in Scottsdale

There’s a lot more to do than just walk around Fashion Square during the day or hit up Old Town at night.

The Drunk Munk

This is my favorite happy hour in Old Town. The quality of drinks and deals here is unbeatable – especially if you like tiki cocktails and sweet things. It’s also in a great central location.

Wonderspaces Arizona

Take the basic person in your life to experience some accessible art and take cool photos for Instagram. It’s a fun way to spend time indoors during the summer heat and do something out of the ordinary. Unlike in all of Phoenix’s amazing museums, I think everyone feels comfortable talking about and interacting with the art here.

Brunch

The Mission is my go-to for an upscale brunch experience. Their menu is very fresh, with a range of light or heavy options. It’s Mexican with a few classic American touches incorporated for brunch. Sitting outdoors is the way to go.

Tacos al pastor

JoJo Coffeehouse is great for a more low key time. Look out for when they have live music going on! I might be biased because I know them and they’re wonderful people, but I would tell anyone to go see Twice Baked Band at JoJo’s any weekend they’re playing.

McDowell Sonoran Preserve

This is the best hike in Scottsdale. It’s not competing with a lot within the technical city limits, but I’m a fan however you draw the lines. It’s relatively easy terrain, with a few different trails so you can pick any length you want. Going during wildflower season in the early/mid spring is absolutely beautiful.
